Even the most enthusiastic traveler's smile turns upside down when you mention making mobile calls during foreign travel. At The Connected Traveler Technology Showcase, Toren Ajk of Line2 showed how business or casual travelers can use Line2 on their smart phones and iOS devices to call and text back home for free. Line2 lets you add a second line, either an existing number, a new local or 800 number to their existing mobile phone number. And for those who cringe at the thought of roaming charges, Line2 lets you talk and text free over WiFi (great where there's no cellular connection) or low rates using 3G/4G. And it comes with all the goodies like voicemail etc. that you get with your regular mobile phone. http://www.line2.com |
